Passport and Visa

All foreign visitors and Americans traveling to Canada need a valid passport. Entry Visa is required for citizens of many countries (citizenship as shown on passport is the important factor, not the country of residence where you may presently be training). For details, participants are advised to contact their travel agency or the nearest Canadian Consulate. On request, the Organizing Committee Secretary will issue invitation letters for visa applications. If you need one, please apply well in advance for a visa: some registered participants of the 2012 symposium have been denied entry to Canada due to incomplete formalities.

The weather in Montreal in late May-early June can be cool with an average temperature of 19C during the day.

The Marriott Château Champlain is a mere 20 minutes from the Pierre-E. Trudeau International Airport (taxi ~40 CAD). With 24-hour service, 7 days a week, the 747 bus line is an economical shuttle service between the airport and downtown Montréal. The hotel is directly connected to the Metro (subway) Bonaventure station and is located minutes away from Gare Centrale (railway station)
